This talk ist held in English.
For centuries, Roma were Europe's entertainers. The Roma's natural talents in music, dance, acting, art and storytelling warmed the hearts of the people and animated all weddings, baptisms and events by performing. However, in the modern age, one has to present a certificate to prove any skill or talent one has. The art of the Roma has been devalued and disregarded.
Questions emerge such as: "What obstacles do Roma artists face with art and careers today?" and "What opportunities are there for Roma artists?" will be discussed and processed in this panel discussion.
People have always drawn inspiration from art. Stéphane Laederich also drags the idea of the Romaverse app from the play "Land ohne Land" into the real world, which he presents here.
